If you are actively collaborating with NCUST or considering it, please do not forget to consider using Elementary and Secondary School Relief (ESSER) funds, particularly ESSER III. ESSER funds are intended to ensure students have sustained access to in-person instruction and support as they recover from the impact of COVID-19. School district’s receiving ESSER III funds must submit an expenditure plan to their board for approval by October 29, 2021. At least 20% of ESSER III funds must be used to address student learning loss.
Here are some NCUST programs that may be helpful to you in addressing student learning loss, sustaining high-quality in-person instruction, and ensuring that your students receive the support they need to succeed:
NCUST Equity and Excellence Audits
Advancing Principal Leadership in Urban Schools (A-PLUS)
National Principal Certificate for Equity and Excellence Program
National Principal Supervisor Certificate for Equity and Excellence Program
Email us at ncust@sdsu.edu to receive more information about any of these programs or services. Please keep us in mind as you develop your ESSER III expenditure plan.
