As I conclude my tenure as the Executive Director of the National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST), I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared. It has been a profound honor to work alongside passionate, dedicated, and inspiring educators and community leaders who are steadfast in their commitment to creating equitable, high-achieving schools for all students.
Over the years, NCUST has achieved remarkable milestones, thanks to your collaboration and shared vision. Together, we have celebrated the triumphs of schools that exemplify excellence and equity, provided vital support to educators striving to transform learning environments, and championed the belief that all students deserve a rigorous and joyful education. These accomplishments would not have been possible without your partnership, trust, and unwavering commitment. As I step away from this role, I do so with immense gratitude for the relationships we have built and the collective impact we have made. NCUST’s mission will undoubtedly continue to thrive, under the direction of Dr. Greg Ottinger, NCUST’s new Executive Director, a team of passionate Executive Coaches, and an extraordinary support staff. As well, NCUST’s founder, Dr. Joseph Johnson, will return on a part-time basis, as an advisor to Dr. Ottinger.
Though I am saying goodbye to my role at NCUST, I will always remain an advocate for the transformative work we have accomplished together. I look forward to witnessing NCUST’s continued growth and success.
With deepest gratitude and warm regards,
Francisco Escobedo, Ed.D.
